We have a lovely week in Reception Oak exploring our topic 'A Walk in the Woods'. We have enjoyed going on a leaf hunt and then carefully drawing all the detail of our leaves using black art pens and colouring them in with water colours. We have also enjoyed drawing all the animals you might find on a woodland walk.

In phonics we have been focusing on the sounds; qu, ch and sh. We have done lots of independent writing and reading of these sounds.

We have been practising our actions for the story The 3 Little Pigs each day and writing some of the story; 'I will not let you in! You are a big bad wolf!'
