It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas...🎄🎁

What a great end to November and start to December we have had in Reception this week!✨

We have been getting in the Christmas spirit, decorating our tree and practising our Nativity more times than you can imagine. The children are absolutely loving it and are making us so proud with their beautiful singing and determination to make it an amazing performance for all of their adults⭐️😁.

Alongside this, we have been reading books constantly (both for pleasure and in guided reading - to reinforce our phonics and blending skills). We looked at our core text of Pumpkin Soup earlier on in the week, to bring autumn to a close🍂 and open us up ready for winter to begin❄️. 
 

There has also been lots of writing taking place throughout the week, which has been super exciting! The children wrote sentences beginning with ‘It is a...’ and imaginatively came up with their own unique endings. It’s fair to say my socks were blown off quite a few times🤩.
