Week 4
We've had a super busy week in Reception Oak!
We've enjoyed learning about Buddhism while drawing and painting our Mandela patterns using only primary colours (we've also loved singing a little song all about the primary colours).
In phonics we have concentrated on blending some of our new sounds; x, y, z, zz and qu, into words and little sentences. We've also been continuing to read and sing our new tricky words each day.
We've been blowing our teachers away with our amazing reading during guided reading and on our reading hunts, we can really tell how much the children are reading at home.
In maths we have been having fun playing games outside jumping one more and one less on number lines and hopscotches.
