Some of our friends were off school on Thursday and Friday for Eid celebrations and they sent in some wonderful pictures for us to see ☺️
We also had our atelier session on Friday where we learnt about a new artist called Subhashini Chandramani. She uses natural items such as leaves, sticks and petals to create pictures. What do you think of our work below.
This week we celebrated Rights Respecting Day. We discussed the crisis that is currently happening in India and it made us sad to know that the children there are not having their rights met. We talked about what we could do to help and how we could use our voice to educate others about trying to make a change. After all, we all have the right to be heard!
In the afternoon, we celebrated the Hindu festival Holi and had tons of fun throwing powder paint to signify the beautiful colours in Spring. We tried chapatis and mango chutney and made mango lassi. We talked about all the different religions in our class and how we celebrated them with our family and friends. We understand that we all have the right to our own religion.
