What a wonderful week learning about the jubilee. We’ve been writing letters to the queen using our phase 3 phonics and we’ve been designing crowns. We have painted plates to celebrate the special occasion in our art workshop, which we loved! The found out where the queen lives, what she likes to eat and what maids do. We were amazed that she has been our queen for 70 years and we used our maths skills to compare which was more, the queens birthday age or her jubilee years. Our royal picnic was the icing on the cake when we celebrated wearing our crowns and flags.
in phonics we have been learning phase 4 tricky words and we have been writing sentences which we can read to our friends. Today is our last session of forest school where we have learnt to work in teams, life skills, using tools and make our own fire as a class. The marshmallows went down a treat!
Have a wonderful break and see you after the holiday 😀🌈🌸
