Welcome to our first full week in Reception

I would like to share what your children have been doing throughout their first full week in Reception. It has been a fantastic week seeing all of the class getting to know one another and exploring our classroom further. It has been so lovely witnessing them grow in confidence, taking risks, being inquisitive and having fun.

Throughout the week, we have been extremely creative! We have taken part in lots of crafting of bracelets, making self portraits out of natural materials and exploring the outdoors in our outdoor classroom. The children also took part in lots of circle times to get to know each other better and build greater relationships. At the end of the week, we adventured into the Year 2 quad to study sunflowers before having a go at drawing and colouring some of our own. There are some real artists in the making in Reception Oak!
