This week we have had lots of counting fun in maths. We used so many different objects to help us with our counting, including buttons, beads, counters, cubes, teddy bears and stones. In English, we were preparing for our trip to the park, by writing adjectives to describe the different things we may see. We also had a go at correcting some ‘broken’ sentences, by adding capital letters, full stops and finger spaces. The Hip Hop Granny really helped us remember these important sentence features with her funny song, The Full Stop Bop. We loved the song so much, we wanted to listen to it every day!
In science, we really blew our teachers away with how quickly we learnt and remembered the names of six animal groups - mammals, reptiles, amphibians, insects, fish and birds. We sorted through lots of animals and placed them into their correct groups, showing that we are already animal experts. We found another brilliant song for this learning too!
You could have a go at singing our two new favourite songs to your adults at home this bank holiday weekend!
