In phonics this week, we revisited some of our sounds from last term - u-e, ew and oul. We are becoming phonics experts at these sounds now!
In maths, we looked at addition word problems, and noticed patterns between addition problems when tens are added, for example:
1 + 5 = 6
11 + 5 = 16
1 + 15 = 16
We were brilliant mathematicians and showed some of these ourselves using tens frames and counters!
We have started looking at instruction writing in English. It was very funny when Mr Carver got his instructions all mixed up and put his coat on wrong! We also followed instructions to play the game Simon Says, and followed instructions to make our very own jam sandwiches. They were delicious!
