Pancake Day Fun🥞⭐️

This week has been full of fun experiences, creativity and learning!

We have been learning all about Pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday) and Lent, looking at what it is, why people celebrate it and how they celebrate🥚🥛. From this, the children have been excitedly carrying out multiple activities all about the day.

The children were super creative, making pancake faces using different toppings🤩. They also practised making their own pancakes both indoors and outdoors in provision, perfecting their pancake flipping skills. As well as this, the children sequenced the steps of making pancakes and then wrote captions to explain each recipe instruction. What amazing writers and bakers we have!⭐️

To wrap up the wonderful excitement that Pancake Day brought, we ventured into the forest school to experience making our own class pancakes using a real fire as our cooker🔥 and then tucked into our tasty treats as a reward for our hard work🍴! Yum yum😁🥞.
