A huge well done to Gurshaan for being today's VIP!!

Who will it be next week?

We had two very special visitors to our class today. Amber and her family have been raising chicks from eggs and they brought in Count Olaf and Bertie to meet us!!!

We were all very excited and listened carefully to Amber as she explained how to care for them and how to hold them. She told us we needed to wash our hands well after handling the chicks to stop germs. We know we had to be quiet so they wouldn't be scared.

When we held them, they liked to get comfy on our knees and have a rest!!!

We had such a great time!

A huge thank you to Amber and her parents for letting us have the chicks in our classroom. THANK YOU!!!

A big well done to Elliott on being our VIP this week.

I wonder who it will be next week!

We had lots of fun in our music lesson with Mrs Swan.

We learnt all about the cello and started to learn our school rights song.

Welcome back!!!

We have had a really busy day!

We have been busy selling food in our farm shop, fresh bread and vegetables!

We have built homes for the animals from the small bricks and sorted them into different houses.

We have wrote list of animals from the story 'What the Ladybird Heard' and played with the farm.

Do you like our new mud kitchen?

Wild times ahead in Reception!

This half term we are going to have a very exciting time. First we will be learning all about farm animals, we will focus our learning around the story 'What the Ladybird Heard' to help us find out lots of interesting information about farm animals and life on the farm. Then we will begin our next topic 'Who's Making a Rumble in the Jungle?' with our trip to Knowsley Safari Park, to ignite the children learning about wild animals. We will base our learning around the book Handa's Surprise
