Sportathon!
What an amazing day we had taking part in non stop sport activities.
Many thanks to all the parents who have sponsored the children and who have already sent money into school.
We began with yoga with Mrs Harrison
Then we did the egg and spoon race and the balloon challenge!
Next it was time with our PE specialist Mr Jordan
We then used the climbing frame and played football on our new mini pitch.
After lunch we did lots of running round the track!
We then did Zumba with Miss Cowgill
Well done Elizabeth for making it on our VIP table for excellent behaviour at lunchtime
Two very special visitors came into our class today. Amber from Mrs Wrights class and her family have been raising chicks from eggs and they brought in Count Olaf and Bertie to meet us!!!
We were all very excited and listened carefully to Amber as she explained how to care for them and how to hold them. She told us we needed to wash our hands well after handling the chicks to stop germs. We knew we had to be quiet so they wouldn't be scared.
Thank so much Amber

We have been very busy learning the story What the Ladybird Heard. We asked the question What Did the Ladybird Really Hear? This led us into wanting to find out more about on the farm.

We love our new mud kitchen
Well done Mia for making it on our VIP table for excellent behaviour at lunchtime

Wild times ahead in Reception!
This half term we are going to have a very exciting time. First we will be learning all about farm animals, we will focus our learning around the story 'What the Ladybird Heard' to help us find out lots of interesting information about farm animals and life on the farm. Then we will begin our next topic 'Who's Making a Rumble in the Jungle?' with our trip to Knowsley Safari Park, to ignite the children learning about wild animals. We will base our learning around the book Handa's Surprise
