The children made AMAZING Easter bonnets which they brought into Nursery. We had an Easter egg hunt, did a parade and even got a treat from Mrs Butler for the super effort we all made!
Happy Easter everybody!
How does your garden grow?
The children have been taking part in a variety of different activities looking at growth and changes over time. We have talked about planting, the process of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly, the difference between what we need to make us grow, what animals need and what plants need.
Cress!
First, we add cotton wool into the cup.
Next, we added some water.
After that, we added some seeds.
Finally, we put the cup near the window for some sun.
Sports Relief
Gymnastics
What amazing little gymnasts we have in our Nursery!
Over the past term the children have been learning lots of skills in gymnastics and their confidence to take risks and challenge themselves has soared- we are very proud!
Welly Walk Wednesday
Over the past few weeks, the children have been taking part in some very exciting welly walks!
The first welly walk the children each had to find half of a ladybird. They then had some problem solving to do- who had the other half?! They had to count the spots and join them back together again.
The second welly walk, the children made some fabulous pictures of flowers to decorate the playground!
Finally, the third welly walk, the children had to find different textures to make a variety of marks in their paper. They traced over these textures to see what they made!
Minibeasts
This half term the children will be learning all about Minibeasts! We will be exploring what minibeasts are and where they may live. We will also be going on the hunt to find some real ones!
Thank you to all of our grown-ups who were able to attend our celebration today- we hope you had as much fun as we did!
Please find the video on the 'Video' page.
World Book Day!
What amazing costumes we had in Nursery today for World Book Day! The children were very excited to share their characters during our fashion show, we read lots of our favourite stories and even made a picture of ourselves in costume!
What a great day celebrating the importance of books!
Mystery Readers!
A BIG thank you to our mystery readers this week! Nursery loved listening to your favourite stories so thank you for sharing these with us!
Snow!
Chinese New Year Celebrations
Nursery had lots of fun celebrating Chinese New Year! We learnt some super dance moves using some traditional props, practised using chopsticks, made our own dragon mask and even had some party food for snack!
Welly Walk Wednesday
This week for our welly walk we went on a mini-beast hunt! We searched high and low and used our magnifying glasses to help us to spot a worm, a beetle, a centipede, slug, snail, and spider!
