Sports Relief

We had such a fun sporty day!

We joined in with lots of activiites, 5 a-day, daily mile and our usual P.E. with Mr Jordan.

Well done to all the children for reaching 10 marbles in the jar and earning hot chocolate and chocolate biscuits!

Lets get started collecting our next 10 marble moments!!

Congratulations to Lilli and Tilly for their super learner certificates this week. Well done!

Beech 1 spring walk.

Thank you to all our parent helpers.

We had a great spring walk to Victoria park, we took our clip boards and our spring check list and looked for all the signs of spring.  We saw squirrels, birds and nests, lots of spring plants like crocus, daffodils and snow drops as well as different types of trees. Can you spot the deciduous trees and evergreen trees from the slide show?

We have spent another busy week measuring!  This time we have been measuring capacity and volume. Lots and lots of water and rice!!  Lots of fun too!

We can tell when a container is full, half full, empty, nearly full and full.

We can tell which containers have greater or less capacity than others.

Well done Erin and Maddie for working so hard to receive the certificates this week!

We had so much fun celebrating Chinese New Year. The Chinese dancing was amazing!
Well done to Rajah and Hamza who received this weeks certificates!
We all enjoyed partitioning numbers, we used all different kinds of resources. It was fun moving around the tables and trying different ways of making the numbers using the part whole model.
