Safeguarding

The Designated Leads At Moss Park Infant School:

Mrs Butler DSL Headteacher

Mrs Jo Peters DSL Deputy Headteacher

Miss Jessica Curbishley deputy DSL SENDCo

Link Governor; Mrs Dawn Hawker

Moss Park Infant School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy, whistle blowing policy and child protection statement. All staff have read any fully understand the 2018 Keeping children safe in education document

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies, when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.

We actively support the Government's Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism and our staff have regular training.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Butler  (Headteacher). Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are Mrs Peters (Assistant Head teacher) Miss Curbishley (SENDCO/ Assistant Headteacher / Mr Carver / KS1 lead) The Governor with responsibility for safeguarding in our school in Dawn Hawker
