Reading Progression

This fine progression gives children plenty of opportunity to develop their reading skills and master each fine step while moving through the reading programme. Children have access to Bug Club resources during guided and shared reading sessions, reading comprehension lessons and at home.

Once children have graduated from the phonics scheme, the children have access to a wide range of books including fiction, non-fiction and poetry.
