The Little Red Hen
We have been learning all about the Little Red Hen story we made bread rolls as an introduction. We looked at wheat to see where bread comes from and added other ingredients to our mixture. We all took turns to stir the mixture and knead the dough before making the rolls.
We had great fun! We hope you enjoyed the bread rolls!!!
We have been learning the story of The Little Red Hen by chanting it and using actions. We have also been retelling the story and taking turns to be different characters from the story.
We have been learning all about Autumn.
We asked the question Why do the leaves go crunch? We had an exciting time finding out lots of information about Autumn.

Eid Mubarak
Today we all celebrated Eid in the classroom. We made Eid cards, built Mosques with the wooden bricks. We also created Mendhi patterns, had a lovely story about Eid and then tasted lots of yummy food. We had a fantastic time and would like to thank all those parents and relatives who sent in food.
A reminder that the Reception Curriculum Meeting is this Thursday, 15th September at 5pm. We really hope to see you there.
We have had a fantastic first day in Reception RE. We were very busy and excited to find out about all the things we do in our new class.
