Why is my world wonderful? 

Where is my home?  Where is my bedroom? How will I get there? 

We will continue our learning journey as we find out about where we live and make sense of the natural world around us.  We will be drawing maps to extend our vocabulary, talking about our homes, our bedrooms and our journeys to school. We will build on our memorable experiences from home with a winter warmer hook day, snuggling up for a bedtime story with our favourite bear. 

We will explore seasonal changes and immerse ourselves in the awe and wonder of our learning environment and in the outdoor classroom. We will ignite our imagination in Expressive Arts, creating the setting from an old classic story...'The Dark Dark Tale'. Building on our skills, we will learn to sing, mix colours, design and create. 
 

The continuous provision will be set up to support children's progression of skills, their inquiry of old and new. Adults will follow children's interests, planned in the moment and through quality interactions. 

We have chosen our core texts to encourage children to be thinking and comparing a variety of homes and settings and to support early language development.
