As we continue with our 'Wonderful World' topic we will be kicking off the next half term with a 'Winter Warmer' day on Friday the 5th of November. Children can come to school in their pyjamas, onesies, dressing gowns or cosy clothes for a super cosy day at school! We will have hot chocolate, extra snuggly story time and talk about seasonal changes!

We will be exploring story telling with our first 'talk 4 writing' text, 'The Gingerbread Man'. We will learn the story language, actions and create story maps for this traditional tale!

In maths we will be measuring in many different ways, creating repeating patterns and beginning to look at the maths vocabulary of 1 more and 1 less.

We will continue to explore our natural environment and spend more time in forest school, artilier and our outdoor classroom. We will go on a 'season walk' looking for and feeling changes in our surroundings and make connections to our new artist; Andy Goldworthy.

As geographers we will be looking at our homes, our street, our town and our local community. We will build on our prior learning, making connections with our family and what makes me special.

We will be learning about different cultures, focusing on the special occasions of Diwali and Christmas and we can't wait to share our songs with you.

As always, we will continue to take inspiration from the children's interests and let them lead the direction of our topic!
