A short but jam packed week in Reception! 

We have continued to learn about Ramadan and the children loved having a look at 'Ramadan at home with Mrs Saleem' - lots of our children were so excited to share their own families experiences of Ramadan in their homes, and for those children that don't celebrate it was a great opportunity for them to ask questions and make comparisons with their own traditions and cultures. 

We have continued to work hard with our phonics and guided reading - we practice our reading strategies frequently and are really developing our love of reading too! Please keep up the reading at home as this has a huge impact on the children's progress in reading, their language development and comprehension.

We have also enjoyed a day in the atelier with our resident artist Mrs Walsh. The children have loved exploring our focus artist Subhashini Chandramani who creates 'garden art'.
