We have had such a fun-filled return to school this week and have loved seeing such smiley, happy faces!

In literacy we have been having a go at reading and writing simple sentences and captions such as 'I am in bed'. The children have been being super readers, using their magic finger to track the text, spotting the tricky words and using their phonic knowledge to blend to read the other words - AMAZING!

We have begun exploring the season of Autumn. In dance first we watched some videos of autumn leaves floating and blowing in the wind - then WE had a go at being the leaves! We moved fast when the music sped up and slow as it became slower and softer.

On outdoor learning day we had a lot of fun in the outdoor classroom and forest school area. Inspired by the book 'Not a Stick' , we made stick wands and painted sticks. We had a cosy outdoor story and best of all - hot choclate!

On our winter warmer day we loved getting cosy and sharing stories. We even had a special story from Mrs Butler via 'zoom'! We all enjoyed buttering our own toast and enjoyed eating it even more!

Don't forget to check the homework on 'seesaw' and have a lovely weekend!
