Great to be back!
It’s been so lovely to welcome children back in school this week, seeing their little happy faces filled us with joy.
This week we explored firework colours and patterns, we danced to exploding music, zooming like a rocket in the sky. We went on an autumn walk spotting seasonal changes and collecting leaves.
We joined thousands of school across the world in a global outdoor learning day, children created crowns, painted sticks and enjoyed hot chocolate under our tarp shelter.
In phonics we consolidated our phase 2 sounds and practiced some of our reading that we completed during our remote home learning week. In literacy we have been writing sentences inspired from our text ‘Not a stick.’ Children used their imagination thinking of ideas for their very own creative stick.
On Friday we had a wonderful day with our winter warmer bedtime story event, we discussed seasonal changes, we buttered our own toast and drank more yummy hot chocolate. We didn’t just stop there... wearing our pjs we went on a reading hunt, we were able to find the words and order them - I am in bed.
We finished our afternoon with a our first art session in the atelier, followed by a surprise virtual story from Mrs Butler, what a special treat!
Reminders - please can children come to school wearing their PE kit on Monday, children can wear joggers or black leggings as the weather is getting colder. Children will stay in their PE kit all day so they do not need to bring uniform.
We hope you enjoy our autumn learning challenge on Seesaw
Have a lovely weekend and stay safe!
