We have had a fun filled Science Week!

This week much of our learning has been based around SCIENCE! We started our week by testing lots of different materials to see which floated and which sank. Using what we found out from this experiment we worked in teams to design boats! On Tuesday and Wednesday we spent time in the Atelier making our boats out of our chosen materials before finally testing them at the end of the week.

We also used some science in our maths work this week as we were making estimations about how many pebbles our pirate ship could hold before it began to sink! We would then either add or subtract pebbles to see the results.

We have begun looking at our new talk for write story 'The Fish Who Could Wish' and have started learning actions and words to help us re-tell it using our class story map. Next week we will be making our own story maps and adding labels, captions and sentences to it too! You can find a video version of 'The Fish Who Could Wish' Below.

RE

In RE this week we have explored the Sikh celebration Vaisakhi. It was wonderful hearing the Sikh children in our class talk so confidently about their religion. We are going to continue to learn about the Muslim celebration of Ramadan and we are looking forward to our Eid party on the last week of the half term.

Don't forget to check seesaw to see this week's homework!
