We have been Moss Park Measurers this week! We compared lengths, using language like 'long, longer and longest' and 'short, shorter and shortest' as well as measuring and estimating the lengths of our classroom objects!

Wow! We have been using diennes to help us split 2 digit numbers into tens and ones. You can play the shark game to practise using them at home.

We have enjoyed making masks for our topic! We began by making a mood board, then designing our mask before making it! Wow, Miss Graham was so impressed with how amazing they turned out. Well done Year 1 Ash.

Capoeira! We had a great time in Capoeira, where we practise the Right to be Safe, and learn to respect each other's space. We always make new friends in these sessions, and learn some of the Portuguese language that is spoken in Brazil!

Mad about shape! This week we have been learning all about 2D shapes and their properties. Can you spot any shapes we made?

How many sides does a triangle have? How many corners? Can you make some shapes at home or outside using random objects?
