The Little Red Hen
We are really enjoying the story of The Little Red Hen. This week we have been making our own story maps to show the story.
Make sure you have a look at our video of us acting out and chanting the story. We are getting very good at it!!
(You can find the video under the community balloon on the main page.)
(Click to be taken straight to it.)
We are loving seeing all your magic moments - please keep them coming in, there are extra available in the classroom if you need more.
Could you please keep empty boxes for us to use in the classroom for making our models? Thank you!!!
Yesterday we made bread rolls as an introduction to our Little Red Hen topic. We looked at wheat to see where bread comes from and added other ingredients to our mixture.
We all took turns to stir the mixture and knead the dough before making the rolls.
It was really good fun! We hope you enjoyed the bread rolls!!!
Enjoying the last of the summer sunshine!!!
Today we had a wonderful time celebrating Eid! We sampled some different foods, coloured Mendhi patterns onto hand prints and made Eid cards.
We enjoyed listening to children explaining how they celebrate Eid with their families.
Thank to all our families who sent in food for us to share.
A reminder that it is the Reception Curriculum Meeting this Thursday, 15th September at 5pm. We really hope to see you there.
